Marty Sykes, Supervisor
Marty Sykes moved to Sabetha from Hurdland, MO, and began working for the City of Sabetha in September 1990. He worked in several capacities for the city before moving into the General Services department. This department involves street maintenance and snow removal, water production and distribution, wastewater collection and treatment, and general building maintenance.
Purchasing/Safety/Code Enforcement
Zane Painter, Supervisor
Zane Painter began working for the City of Sabetha after graduation from Sabetha High School in 1972. He previously worked in the Electrical Distribution department for 27 years before accepting his current position. As Purchasing/Safety/Code Enforcement Supervisor, Zane ensures that the city and its various departments are in compliance with local, state and federal codes for electrical, housing, streets and airport guidelines. In addition to code compliance, Zane also serves as purchasing agent for items for the city, from basic everyday products to specialty items that are required in the various departments.
